Nadia Chopra, PT, DPT, OCS, COMT
Nadia has been practicing as a physical therapist in an outpatient orthopedic physical therapy setting, specializing in manual therapy and dance medicine since 2006. As a former modern dancer, Nadia always had an interest in the human body and movement. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Dance Performance from The Ohio State University in 2002. Following her dance career, Nadia received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from the New York Medical College in 2006. In New York, Nadia had the honor of working at Westside Dance Physical Therapy for 7 years, where she was a senior PT for the New York City Ballet and School of American Ballet. Later, she became the founder and sole owner of Mend Physical Therapy in Brooklyn, specializing in foot, hip, spine, postpartum, and chronic pain injuries. Nadia and her family relocated from Brooklyn, NY in 2015 and love all that Portland has to offer!
Nadia is a board certified orthopedic clinical specialist (OCS) and has pursued post-graduate manual therapy training through the North American Institute of Manual Therapy (NAIOMT). There, she earned the credentials certified manual physical therapist (CMPT) and a certified orthopedic manual therapist (COMT). She has completed extensive post-graduate coursework in the areas of manual therapy, movement awareness & education, biomechanical analysis, differential diagnosis, visceral mobilization, real time ultra sound, and pregnancy and postpartum physical therapy. It is Nadia's belief that continually evolving her education allows her to best meet her clients needs and help them achieve their goals efficiently.
